BASE TECHNOLOGIES GmbH has been actively involved in sustainability and transformation for over 20 years. As an owner-managed, medium-sized consulting and assessment firm in the environmental sector, we are dedicated to actively shaping and preserving the environment with a special focus on our most fundamental resources: Soil and water.
We are particularly involved in preventive and remedial soil protection, drinking-, ground-, and surface water topics, contaminated site assessments with a special focus on groundwater and soil protection , land conversion, post-mining activities, as well as the assessment, planning, execution, and aftercare support of reclamation, remediation, and landfill issues.
Our passion is the protection and sustainable transformation of our environment. To this end, we are also active in the research and development of new technologies and work internationally.
Our portfolio includes complex, interdisciplinary projects that we have been advancing together with our clients for many years as well as smaller, isolated topics. Our holistic approach aims to provide you with a comprehensive, well-founded, and solution-oriented approach to your specific problem or challenge.
To find tailored solutions that integrate both environmental objectives and economic conditions, we combine elements and tools from various fields such as consulting, engineering, assessment, and project management in our daily work. Our Company History
BASE TECHNOLOGIES was founded in 2002 as a 100% subsidiary of BASE CONSULT GmbH in Munich and has been continuously developing ever since. In 2014, BASE TECHNOLOGIES was completely taken over by the two managing directors at the time and has since been an independent, owner-managed company. Since 2020, Dr. Matthias Alte and Dr. Klaus Puell have been managing BASE TECHNOLOGIES as partners and managing directors.
We now look back on more than 250 successfully completed projects, in many of which we have worked with renowned experts and prominent research institutions such as prestigious universities. Our portfolio has continuously developed, as evidenced not only by our own research project on passive-biological leachate treatment but also by our participation in the BMBF-project 'LURCH' (for the investigation of in-situ treatment options for agriculture-related nitrate input into groundwater).
Our Quality and Project Management
In addition to a holistic consulting approach, we adhere to the highest quality standards in our work. To this end, BASE TECHNOLOGIES has implemented a quality management system loosely based on DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 17025.
For successful project management we rely on established tools and software solutions. The documentation, evaluation, and assessment of all types of environmental data in due consideration of temporal, spatial, and environmental aspects as a sound basis for all our assessments is given a very high priority in our company. For this purpose, we have designed and developed an in-house software solution tailored precisely to our needs, which can be combined with standard tools such as geographic information systems and drawing software - and can also be individually extended for many types of (data) interfaces.

We place great importance on continuous training and further education of our team to keep up with current developments and to integrate new standards or requirements into our project work for optimal results.
